The G-12 IB Visual Arts Class opened an exhibition of their portfolios on March 23rd, turning the heart of the Kamiyama Academic Center (KAC) into a beautiful gallery.
Works from the 15 students in the class show an astonishing variety of styles and medias including photography, printing, sculpture and painting. According to art teacher, Jolyon Hinton, “Each student has created an exhibition which explores an idea, particular imagery, or investigates media and processes.”
The will show continue through the third week of April, so parents visiting on Parents’ Day can also enjoy the exhibit. After the exhibition comes down, some of the work will be framed up for permanent display in various public spaces at ISAK. A selection of the work will also appear in the ISAK exhibition in the Hiroshi Senju Museum Gallery in Karuizawa in October!
