ISAK is located in Nagano Prefecture, Japan, just outside the beautiful mountain resort town of Karuizawa. The campus is located in Asama Terrace, part of the Sengataki resort area just 20 minutes by car from Karuizawa Station.

Karuizawa is located approximately 70 minutes by bullet train from Tokyo station on the Hokuriku Shinkansen line.

Getting to ISAK from the Airport
Getting to ISAK from Narita (NRT) Airport
Traveling by train is the easiest way to get to ISAK from Tokyo’s Narita Airport. From the airport, take the Narita Express train to Tokyo Station. Then connect to the Hokuriku Shinkansen (bullet train) line for a 70 minute ride to Karuizawa. From Karuizawa, take a taxi to campus (approx. 4,000 yen), or take the local Shinano Line train two stops to Shinano-Oiwake. The ISAK campus is a short ten-minute taxi ride from Shinano-Oiwake.
Getting to ISAK from Haneda (HND) Airport
Traveling by train is the fastest way to get to ISAK from Haneda Airport. Take the Tokyo Monorail from Haneda Airport to Hamamatsu-cho Station (20 min.), then transfer to the JR Yamanote train line to Tokyo Station. At Tokyo Station, transfer to the Hokuriku Shinkansen (bullet train) line for a 70 minute ride to Karuizawa. From Karuizawa, take a taxi to campus (approx. 4,000 yen), or take the local Shinano Line train two stops to Shinano-Oiwake. The ISAK campus is a short ten-minute taxi ride from Shinano-Oiwake.
There is also direct bus service to Karuizawa from the Haneda Airport on the Haneda Airport Express. The express bus to Karuizawa leaves Haneda Airport twice a day and the ride takes approximately 185 to 200 minutes. You can get more information about the bus here.
